MWL funds new Kazakh mosque

July 8, 2011

Sacha Baron Cohen

The Muslim World League, undoubtedly wanting to overcome the shame of Borat, has journeyed to Kazakhstan to fund a new Wahabbi mosque.

The MWL, the Saudi-funded organization that is the largest Islamic charity on earth, has announced that it will build the new mosque at ORU [probably referring to Eurasian National University] in Kazakhstan. During a late-June visit to Kazakhstan by the MWL, Secretary General Abdulla Ibn Abdel Mohsen Al-Turki (also spelled Abdullah bin Abdul Mohsin Al-Turki) announced the project, which will help continue obliteration of Russian Orthodox Christianity in Kazakhstan.

The MWL is a primary vehicle for introducing Wahhabism to the world. It has already funded thousands of Islamic centers and hundreds of mosques, madrassas, and colleges. MWL supports sharia law. This is, of course, just the latest in a long line of Wahhabist exports to the world. Sexes will not be mixed around the mosque. University official Gould Asbikov expressed appreciation and will tow the Saudi line.

What follows is a Bing translation of MWL’s press release heavily edited by me (so take it with a grain of salt) for readibility:

Muslim World League prepares to build a mosque in ORU University Asia Kazakhstan

Professor Gould Asbikov, President of the University ORU Asia in Kazakhstan, expressed appreciation on behalf of deans and professors for the Muslim World League’s intention to build a mosque inside the campus.

The University has devoted enough space to build a mosque, funded by the Muslim World League, which will contain the chapel for students, one for female students, a library, and a lecture hall.

The agreement came during a visit by His Excellency Dr. Abdullah Ibn Abdel Mohsen Al-Turki, Secretary General of the Muslim World League, and the University’s facilities association delegation, which highlighted the need for students to perform the obligatory prayers at the campus mosque, thus enhancing university students with their religion.

For His Excellency the Association’s willingness to finance the construction of this mosque, and for its importance in this place, a copy of the draft agreement on the mosque was requested.

Professor Asbikov has expressed gratitude from academics and university administrators to his Excellency Dr. Turki for this initiative, which is made possible through collaboration between the University and the Association for the benefit of Islam and Muslims.
